Bay & bow windows are extremely similar but have a few key differences.
A combination of three windows joined at an angle, bay windows jut out beyond your walls to add more space to your room. Because the windows face multiple directions and extend beyond your walls, they can let in far more light and air than flat window types. It’s the perfect answer for those rooms that just don’t get enough natural light or you find yourself wishing you just had a little more space in. You’ve probably come across some bay windows in the past and found yourself thinking about just how unique yet beautiful they make a home. We have a great selection of bay window options to fit any area of your home, we work with some of the best window manufacturers in the business.
Let Nature In
Bay windows will generally protrude from the outside of a home as a set of three angled window panels. This is in contrast to bow windows which go along more of a curved pattern and generally have more than three window panels to them. The traditional bay window configuration includes a large fixed window in the middle with smaller flanking windows on either side, letting the most light possible in.
Do be aware that bay windows need to be installed along the exterior of your home and you need to have a decent amount of space available for them to fit appropriately. 80 inches or so is the minimum amount of available space you want to have, so if you are considering bay windows make sure your room has plenty of space for one.

Natural Light with Incredible Views

Energy Savings & Noise Reduction
All of the windows that make up a bay window are incredibly strong and energy-efficient on their own. With a very well insulated window, as long as it is installed well, you’re going to see some incredible noise reduction as well. For many that could mean far less annoyance when the roads get busy out or the neighborhood is active. You don’t realize just how much noise makes its way into your home until it is not!
